Licia Accorsi
Having been born and lived in Bologna, the gastronomic heart of Italy, for over 25 years, food has been central to most of my daily life. I remember Sundays being almost entirely devoted to the preparation, cooking and subsequent enjoyment of food with family and friends.
It was entirely natural to spent many hours working in our family restaurant in Emilia-Romagna my love of Italian food developed even further.
My first years in England, however, were spent building a career in the fashion industry, working at places like Joseph, Calvin Klein and Harvey Nichols in London. After relocating to Bath two years ago to work on developing my own business, I knew instinctively that this would focus on my passion, authentic Italian food.
I knew that I wanted to run my own shop and that’s how Del Sole was born. Combining the influences of my Italian upbringing as well as my fashion background has helped tremendously in creating quite a unique look and feel to the shop.
So far feedback has been tremendously positive and this only encourages me to want to do more and more!
After trying to impress my Mother in Law by taking her out to lunch (which was awful) I suggested we come to you for desserts – Well you saved me from being the worst daughter in law on the planet – she loved the food, the coffee, the location, and meeting Licia, now I am in her good books. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
See you soon
Stephenie.
