With the cold weather coming, who doesn’t need comfort food? Well, here is one of my favourites – my mamma’s lasagne!
I love preparing this dish, even though it takes many hours to get the ragout ready. As per my Bolognese heritage, the ragout must cook for at least 6 hours.
Many details are important in the preparation of this dish, starting from the right cut of meat to the quality of the tomatoes added to the sauce.
I can ensure you, however, that every minute is worth the delicious result.
Layers of soft, homemade pasta alternated with layers of meaty, fragrant ragout sauce and delicate Parmesan bechamel.
